Anatolian Caucasia Energy Investments Company
Anatolian Caucasia Energy Investments Company was founded in December 2009, with the aim of continuing the Paravani Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP) investment of the Georgia Urban Enerji Ltd. company in Georgia, and to realize new investments in the field of renewable energy in this country.
The company was formed with the objective of developing, building and operating the Paravani HPP, which is located in the Meskhetia region of Georgia, approximately 25 km from the Turkish – Georgian border. The plant is established on the Paravani River, an offshoot of Lake Paravani, which in turn originates from the Kura River.
Anatolian Caucasia Energy Investments Company, which is established in Georgia, continues its endeavours to operate the Paravani HPP, and to realize new investments in Georgia.
90% of the shares of the company, Georgia-Urban Enerji Ltd., which is based in Tbilisi, Georgia, belong to Anatolian Caucasia Energy Investments Company. The other shareholder in Georgia-Urban Enerji Ltd., is the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which has a 10% shareholding.
